About the DeFlorin BiCentennial Inn

THE 1976 BICENTENNIAL  CELEBRATION AND THE NEW HOME

The home was built in the year of the United States BiCentennial Celebration.  A 200 year anniversary filled with special July 4th fireworks in local towns and Washington, D.C., a commissioned 1976 event flag, historical documentaries, and commemorative souvenirs.  We continue to acquire BiCentennial anniversary items and have displayed them in the living room.  Notice our U.S. Patriot statue that is lit in the window and providing sentry over the home.

THE BICENTENNIAL AND ITS ORIGINAL INTERIOR FEATURES

Louie Baumstark was a local craftsman well known in Hermann for his quality homebuilding and woodworking detail.  When coming inside, notice his in-layed cabinets, trim, fireplace mantel, woodworking tools, unique step up wood pantry, and kitchen cabinetry.

During the home’s 2013/ 2014 renovation and for your enjoyment, we have improved the recreational layout in the lower level, refurbished the stairs, improved the lower level cabinetry, and added key landscaping features.  Your group will enjoy our finished product!
